Zonta's International Women's Day award for Emily

EAST Loddon P12 College student Emily Sinclair has been awarded the Zonta Club of Bendigo Gwen Symons Scholarship.

The Year 11 student was presented with the two-year scholarship during the club’s International Women’s Day dinner.

Emily is keen advocate for students and is extremely passionate about the SRC and events within the school that support students connectedness and wellbeing.

She played a significant role in organising two key school events to honour and remember Jase Sawyer and Shane Rudkins.

The scholarship was established in 1985 to support young women to continue their education through Year 11 and 12.

The award honours the memory of Zonta Bendigo charter member Gwen Symons.
