ZEKIE Johns has been named recipient of the 2022 Inglewood and Districts Community Bank tertiary scholarship.
Community bank directors last week selected last year’s East Loddon P12 College dux to receive the scholarship that supports local students to undertake university study.
The Inglewood teenager achieved a stunning 99.3 ATAR score in the 2021 VCE examinations with four subject scores in the 40s and a 39 in mathematics methods.
Zekie said she was honoured to be awarded the community bank scholarship that would be of great assistance, coming just weeks after starting her course in medicine at Monash University. She hopes to qualify as a doctor specialising in women’s health or paediatrics.
