Today's Your Energy Future forum in Wedderburn will discuss plans by Australia Energy Market Operator to send transmission through the Loddon from St Arnaud to Kerang.
The forum comes as AEMO this week released its Draft 2023TransmissionExpansion OptionsReport for Australia with the report showing VNI West will run through the Loddon as revealed in late February when the new preferred Option 5 route was announced.
AEMO on Tuesday confirmed it would be sending two representatives - Victorian planning group manager Nicola Falcon and executive general manager system design Merryn York - to the forum in Loddon Shire Council chambers.
Also speaking on the panel will be Professor Bruce Mountain, Energy Grid Alliance director Darren Edwards, farmer Kathryn Myers and Nationals state leader and member for Murray Plains Peter Walsh.
The public forum will be held in Loddon Shire chambers at 2pm and live streamed on the Loddon Herald facebook page.
