A YOUNG farmer network will be established for the Loddon in a new push by Birchip Cropping Group to to support the future of agriculture.

The Loddon group will be one of seven across central and northern Victoria.

Others will be formed in Gannawarra, Swan Hill, Buloke, Yarriambiack, Hindmarsh and West Wimmera council areas.

The network has received funding from the Federal Government’s Future Drought Fund.

The group says its new network will bring young farmers together to socialise, improve their farming knowledge and create and strengthen their professional networks.
