Young Demons dominate league squads
THE STRENGTH of Cavilil’s junior netball program has been highlighted by the selection of nine Demons in the Loddon Valley netball junior interleague squads for 2026.

Calivil won the 17 & Under and 15 & Under premierships last year and finished runners-up in the 13 & Under competition.
Two players, Chelsea Doolan and Ruby Cullen, have been selected in the 17s squad, with Inglewood also with two representatives.
Woodies’ Lucy Rollinson has been chosen in the squad, with Hayley Wurf picked as a training partner.
Also in the lineup are Abby Twigg (Bears Lagoon Serpentine), Alina Gould and Cecily Farrar (Pyramid Hill), Ava Holland (Newbridge), Corey Woods (Marong), Hannah van Ryn (Bridgewater) and Olivia Hardinge (Maiden Gully).
Four Calivil players are in the 15 & Under squad – Airlie Brown, Caitlin Ralphs, Gracie Noonan and Zali Cullen.
Maiden Gully has three representatives in Grace Wild, Liv Moresi and Madison Lines, with a fourth player, Paige Andrews, selected as a training partner.
Marong’s Sophie Burke and Sophie Bellenger round out the squad.
Calivil’s Abby Smith, Gemma Lenton and Ilish Fawcett are in the 13 & Under squad, with Bridgewater trio Ivy Wickham, Stella McIntosh and Olivia Hayes (training partner) matching the Demons’ numbers.
Also in the squad are Charlotte Emmerson (Pyramid Hill), Emma Wurf (Inglewood) and Piper Hooke (Bears Lagoon Serpentine).
The selections augur well for Calivil’s senior netball future.
The Demons finished second last and third last in A Grade and A Reserve respectively last season.
The teams will play tournaments across the region later in the year.
