YOUNG BULL’S BOWLING LEAP OF FAITH

JUST like his cricket team, Bridgewater Bulls junior Jenson Birthisel is on a high.

The young Bulls star snared an impressive 3-8 from seven accurate overs against Wedderburn Band on Saturday and joyfully celebrated one of his wickets with teammates Van Harrison and Ned Wickham.

Wickham was also among the wickets, dismissing the dangerous Blaz Cramp for just three as he took 1-6 from five overs.

The Bulls are running hot this season and now sit second on the ladder behind the all-conquering Boort Yando team.

Bridgewater’s two wins and a tie after five rounds mean it has already almost surpassed last season’s three wins, with four rounds and finals still to come.

And the Bulls are shaping as Boort Yando’s toughest competition, having pushed the mighty Magpies in their two clashes this season.
