Wintery works to fix the leaks
THE troubled Pyramid Hill swimming pool will be upgraded ahead of summer.

THE troubled Pyramid Hill swimming pool will be upgraded ahead of summer.
A delayed opening last November came after leaks and maintenance issues at the pool. The intermediate and toddler pools were not used last season.
Loddon Shire said a series of upgrades has started.
“The works will focus on improving both the performance and presentation of the pool,” a spokesperson said. “This includes extensive leak detection resulting in gutter repair works and all new underground pool plumbing to address water loss and support more efficient operation into the future.
“New concourse areas will be constructed around the pool to improve safety and accessibility, along with upgraded stormwater infrastructure to better manage drainage and protect the surrounds.”
Council said the filtration system would also be enhanced through “a full sand replacement, contributing to improved water clarity. In addition, a modern chemical dosing system will be installed to provide more precise and reliable water treatment”.
“The pool will receive a full repaint, delivering a clean and refreshed finish ahead of the next season,” the spokesperson said.
