WILL not for for the hyperbole or dramatics but Sunday’s Loddon Valley clash between Marcorna and Bears Lagoon Seprentine could shape a few things this season.

The Tigers will be at home and have had a wonderful start in their debut season. A win against the Bears would have them scaring more sides this season.

Serpentine had been slated by some as being in for a bit of slide (not me!) and has shown there’s still a bit of grunt coming out of the Janiember Park mob.

They looked crisp and clean in the opening quarter last week and then saw off a bit of a challenge to run over Calivil.

I reckon we’re in for a real treat between the Tigers and the Bears. Not sure what way to tip but wll saw Serp by less than a kick. Pyramid Hill is again at home and this time takes on Maiden Gully. Probably won’t be a big crowd in tow with the Eagles and the home side should see of a challenge and again show they are a genuine top three side in 2026.

At Rodeo Park, Calivil will play a Marong outfit unlikely to get out of second gear in the quest fot a fifth straight flag.

Mind you, they had better watch young Henry McCarthy who can be handy around goals for Calivil.

Can I tip a draw? One of Mitiamo and Newbridge will have their first win of the season and with little confidence, I’m saying the Maroons will account for the Mitiamo at John Forbes Oval.

Finally, the big one. Bridgewater and Inglewood in the big Anzac weekend clash.

Bridgewater will take the honours, too slick at the moment compared with Inglewood still working out its game plan.

It’s really quite simple boys, win the ball, mark, kick and score goals .
