LODDON sports identity Glenn Catto has trumpeted the achievements of what he calls one of the region’s best bunch of junior footballers and the mark they made in senior ranks.

“We had some fantastic young players running around in the Loddon Valley league at the turn of the century,” Catto said. “They went on to be more than handy players and showed hallmarks that I see today in the batch of young Loddon Valley players coming up through the ranks.”
“These blokes played with local clubs and some went further ... all were products of the rich local scene.”
Catto was assisted in 2001 by Glenn Ray with Brian Gladman, who would serve as league president, the runner.
