Faye Orange has roped in a team of volunteers over the past fortnight to collect brochures from tourist attractions, local services and businesses to put in bags provided by Inglewood and District Community Bank.
“A few of us were having a chat one day and thought, there’s no welcome pack for people wanting to know more about Inglewood,” she said.
“So we set out to collect pamphlets and brochures to help new residents connect with the community - information from the school, the hospital and the community hub.
“We’ve also included brochures from local businesses to encourage people to shop in town, whether they are new residents or people passing through.
“For the visitors, we also wanted to have a pack on information to encourage them to explore the area,” she said.
The first 100 packs are now at local businesses.
