Weekend stabbing charges
TWO men have been charged following a stabbing in McIntyre.
TWO men have been charged following a stabbing in McIntyre.
The 62-year-old, believed to live in Clay Gully Lane, was taken to a Melbourne hospital with life-threatening injuries after Saturday’s incident. He remains in a stable condition.
Police said two men were later arrested in Inglewood.
A 28-year-old Inglewood man was charged with intentionally cause serious injury and reckless cause serious injury. He was bailed to appear at Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on July 27.
A 53-year-old Inglewood man was interviewed and released pending further enquiries.
Police said it was alleged the parties are known to one another.
Clay Gully Lane closed for more than 24 hours after the incident about 4pm Saturday.
Police from Loddon stations and also Maryborough were on the scene from late Saturday afternoon. Two SES tents have been erected within metres of the house.
