WEDDERBURN has shown the wide gulf between North Central league's middle pegging teams and the bottom with a huge 161-point victory over St Arnaud at Donaldson.

The Redbacks were straight out of the blocks with two early goals and two early behinds in the first two minutes. If not for inaccuracy, the home side could have been 10 goals up at the first break.

There were early moments of fight from the Saints in the second term but any hope of clawing back the deficit was blown when Wedderburn had an 11-goal third term.
