COLIBAN Water's treatment plants at Bridgewater, Inglewood, Wedderburn and Korong Vale are back in action.

The plants had been knocked out in Tuesday's power outages and Coliban had asked residents in the towns to limit use.

However, Coliban late this morning said: "Drinking water in all communities in the Coliban Water region is safe to consume.

"As of this morning all power has been restored to our treatment plants impacted by Tuesday’s severe weather event.

"Our water treatment plants are now operating as normal and customers should not be experiencing any pressure or service interruptions."
