INGLEWOOD Alive festival will miss a third year with the committee looking for more members to work for a 2023 return.

Secretary Suzi Birthisel confirmed at the weekend that the event, first staged in 2012, would not be held after also missing 2020 and 2021 because of COVID restrictions.

She said local organisations had been told of the decision last month after the committee was unable to justify seeking sponsorship funds from local businesses who continued to be impacted by COVID-19.

“Similarly, we have been unable to conduct any fundraising activities in our own right up until now,” she said.
