VIETNAM Veterans’ Day will be marked with a commemoration service in Inglewood.
Members of the Inglewood and Bridgewater RSL sub-branch are organising the service for 6pm on Sunday August 18 at the war memorial in Grant Street.
Vietnam Veterans’ Day falls on the anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan in 1966. Almost 60,000 Australians served during the 10 years of Australian involvement in the Vietnam War.
Members of the sub-branch last month held a service at Bridgewater Memorial Hall in honour of Korean War veterans.
