$35,000 drug bust in routine search
A MAN is in custody and a woman is expected to be charged after being stopped at a police drug and alcohol testing site on Tuesday.

Sgt Ben Huisman said police seized drugs with an estimated street value of $35,000 when they stopped the vehicle in Wedderburn.
“Central Goldfields Highway Patrol, Wedderburn and Serpentine police were conducting roadside drug and alcohol testing in Wedderburn when they intercepted a vehicle in High Street Wedderburn,” Sgt Huisman said.
“Police located a commercial quantity of methamphetamine in possession of the male passenger who was charged and remanded in custody.
“The female driver who was also in possession of methamphetamine was charged and bailed to appear at Bendigo Magistrates Court at a later date.”
The two are from Mildura and were travelling north when stopped by police in Wedderburn.
