Upset of the round (and season)

WILSONS Reef has pulled off the season’s upset in Marong and District Tennis Assocation with a win over Harcourt on Saturday.

Harcourt has been head and shoulders above the competition most weekends since the season started in November.

But in the latest round and with Wilson’s Reed in a three-way tussle to stay in the four, the home team played stirring tennis.

Final scores reflected the closeness of sets with Wilsons Reef getting up by two sets and one game.

Wilsons Reef has another big match on Saturday against Lockwood.
