You Loddon Herald was recognised with three major awards at the annual Victorian Country Press Association conference yesterday.
For the second year running, the Loddon Herald has been judged with running the best community campaign.
A series of stories on last summer's swimming pool lifeguard shortage and community concerns for the future of some Loddon pools.
The stories also looked later inclusion of swimming pool funding being placed on Loddon Shire Council's election year wishlist.
The Loddon Herald was also named the winner of the best sports story award for its special report on the next generation of local footballers who were already stepping up to senior ranks as the Loddon Valley league worked to sustain junior football in the region.
And a third award was given to the Loddon Herald for best photo study for the photograph of Alf Parsons in the historic Hopefield shearing shed.
The country newspaper association awards for 2022 follow the Loddon Herald in September being named Rural Press Club of Victoria Media Outlet of the Year.
