“Each place is like a star in a constellation .. which is a big hint about something we’re planning for this year,” said co-ordinator Rosemary Sorensen.
“We learnt so much last year, and we’re keen to build on all the positives for our 2026 event”, “It was brilliant to see so many people enjoy visiting places like the East Loddon Woolshed and the Mysia War Memorial School, so we’re definitely hoping to include those favourite places again.
“Plus we have a couple of surprises up our sleeve, with new venues and ideas developing.
“Our slogan is ‘out there – in every way’, so that’s what we are aiming for again!”
She says tourism is a high priority focus.
“It’s certainly about the economic value to the shire, which is very welcome, and Loddon Shire’s support in helping the festival attract visitors is appreciated,” she says.
“Equally important is the energy and creativity that the Arts Trail festival inspires. “I’ve discovered people and places who are just totally amazing and a real joy to work with as we plot exhibitions and events.
Loddon Shire’s manager of tourism and economic development, David Stretch, says the Festival made a strong financial and cultural impact last year.
“The feedback was very positive from people in the shire as well as visitors,” Mr Stretch said.
“It’s a great addition to our event calendar, complementing the hard work of so many community organisations and hall committees.”
