WATER HAS NOW BEEN RESTORED

EARLIER

Inglewood this morning is a town without water.

A burst main about 7am this morning has seen supply switched off.

Residents have told the Loddon Herald the burst main is in Verdon Street.

The loss of water supply is affecting some businesses.

While Cousin Jack's cafe is unable to make coffee, it remains open with cool drinks and food.

Repair crews have arrived about 10.15am.

Coliban Water has been contacted for information.

It is the second disruption for the town in three days after a B-double overturned on a notorious bend in Brooke Street early New Year's Eve, wiping out a fence and spilling 30 pallets of milk over the Calder Highway.

Meanwhile, this morning's storm disrupted power in the Tarnagulla and Newbridge areas but supply has been restored.
