KYLE Simpson sent balls flying around Boort school oval Saturday afternoon when the Upper Loddon senior season started.
After the early loss of Will Deason bowled first ball by Boort’s Will Gould, Simpson joined Braydon Welsh at the crease.
Simpson took control. He hit three successive sixes to be on 99, a single bringing up the ton only to go out next ball.
He was supported at the crease by an almost equally spectacular knock of 85 from Braydon Walsh who came in after the cheap dismissal of Will Deason.
The century that included seven sixes and seven boundaries came off just 83 balls.
Welsh played the support act well, finishing with 85 off 101 balls.
Will Gould finished with three wickets.
Kingower youngsters Tyler and Riley Murphy made their mark with the ball, Tyler finishing with three wickets and Riley one as Boort was unable to get established.
Wedderburn opening bowler Adam Postle ripped through the Arnold top order, taking four of the first five wickets.
The Band had Arnold out in just 19.1 overs.
