THREE LAND A KISS
The stakes were high in Pyramid Hill on Saturday night as progress association milked the crowd for late votes and more money to fund town events in the final minutes to decide who would kiss the Christmas donkey.

Early voting favourites were swamped with “supporters” and when the figures were tallied, it was not one but three who had the “honour”. Adam Gould, Geoff Burke and last year’s winner of kiss the pig David Poole all got their chance to earn a spot in Pyramid Hill folklore. Santa this year swapped his traditional fire truck arrival for the police divvy that had Senior Constable Brett Vine escorting the jolly chap to the stage where Alina Gould and Cecily Farrer were his eager helpers young out sweets to children.
Loddon’s own singing sensation Elias Lanyon made an encore appearance at the street park with those seeking respite from the warm evening ventured into the memorial hall where Bendigo Jailhouse Rockers had people tripping around the floor.
