With temperatures in the low 30s, Inglewood Development and Tourism president Peter Moore said the crowd had rocked up in good numbers for the town’s biggest annual event.

Locals were joined by visitors from around Australia. Among them was Terry Heath, of Lithgow, who took a break from gold prospecting around Wedderburn.

“I’ve found a few specks but thought I enjoyed Inglewood Alive! so much last year, I just had to come again,” he said,

Local groups had fundraising and information stalls. Elissa Wilson was among the volunteers as she roved from helping Inglewood Primary School to St Mary’s School and Inglewood Fire Brigade.

The one-day festival was opened by Ripon MP Martha Haylett who congratulated volunteers on staging a great event.
