The Oracle
WITH the split round behind us as we start on the home stretch towards finals, the next five weeks will define the make up of the finals. This week’s games will test the tipsters, as a few games could go either way.

WITH the split round behind us as we start on the home stretch towards finals, the next five weeks will define the make up of the finals. This week’s games will test the tipsters, as a few games could go either way.
The Macorna Tiger cubs host Maiden Gully at home, and this will be a very interesting game after the young Tigers snagged a crucial win over a top-three side last week. The Eagles have done some mid-season recruiting to bolster their playing stocks, but it’s hard to see them winning in front of a parochial home crowd.
Pyramid hosts Inglewood at the Kennel in another key game. The Dogs’ win against Newbridge was solid, with a number of their better players not on the park. Inglewood also had a good win a fortnight ago, but copped some injuries, which may tip this game in the Bulldogs’ favour.
The Bears host the Panthers, who are doing what they need to do week in and week out. It’s hard to see Serp getting over the line, as they always push sides for a half before running out of petrol tickets to get the job done.
Calivil hosts its friendly neighbour across the prairie plains, Mitiamo, in another game that should be close. These two clubs’ rivalry goes back to when Noah was hammering nails into the Ark. Flip a coin, with Miti getting home by less than a kick.
The last game is the blockbuster at Riverside Oval, with Newbridge meeting Bridgewater. Bridgewater and Gary Rohan will get home over their southern rivals.
