The lucky last dips of summer
THE temperature was turned up for the final day of the season at Loddon swimming pools.

Lifeguards working their last shift of summer had many family groups and youngsters through the gates at Inglewood, Boort, Wedderburn, Mitiamo and Pyramid Hill pools as temperatures iclimbed back nto the mid-30s.
It was the second season that Inglewood and Districts Community Banks had backed local pools providing reduced price season tickets while aqua aerobic class have also been popular through the summer.
Attendance data at the pools is expected to be released in coming months.
The end of the pool season comes as Loddon Shire launches an aquatics service review which will include assessing the financial sustainability of the five pools and setting future planning and investment.
