THE local derby between Bridgewater and Inglewood will be played on Saturday.

The game’s most courageous player will be awarded the Eddie Harrison Medal by Inglewood-Bridgewater RSL sub-branch honouring the late World War Two serviceman who was part of flag wins at both clubs.

Eddie’s widow and sub-president Mick Hobson will present the medal.

The Mean Machine is clearly back in business with several more players still to become available for selection.

Most interest this round will centre on the clash of Bendigo sides Maiden Gully and Marong while ladder leader Pyramid Hill should continue on their winning ways before likely season-defining clashes with Marong and Maiden Gully in the following two rounds.

Braidy Dickins is already well clear in the league goalkicking and another bag looms this week in the Dogs’ home clash against Calivil.
