Tender point to build crossing
CONSTRUCTION of a pedestrian crossing in Wedderburn will begin “mid-year”, according to the Department of Transport and Planning.
CONSTRUCTION of a pedestrian crossing in Wedderburn will begin “mid-year”, according to the Department of Transport and Planning.
Funding for the crossing was announced in last year’s State Budget.
A department spokesperson said: ““The tender process for the Wedderburn pedestrian safety upgrades is currently being finalised, and we look forward to updating the community shortly.
“Construction on the Wedderburn pedestrian safety upgrades is scheduled to begin in mid-2026 and will provide safer links for pedestrians to access education, recreation, and shopping precincts.”
Meanwhile, the department has told the Loddon Herald that consultation submissions for the Calder Highway overtaking lanes project were now being reviewed.
