Teen dies in crash at Woosang
A TEENAGER has died and two people are in a critical condition after a crash on the Calder Highway at Woosang on Saturday.

A TEENAGER has died and two people are in a critical condition after a crash on the Calder Highway at Woosang on Saturday.
Police confirmed an alleged stolen vehicle was travelling along the Calder Highway when it left the road and hit a tree near Woosang-Yeungroon Road between Charlton and Wedderburn just before 10am.
They confirmed the male passenger in the vehicle, who was declared deceased at the scene, was identified as a 14-year-old from the Mildura area.
The 18-year-old driver, from Mildura, and his 14-year-old passenger, from the Mildura area, were both cut from the vehicle and airlifted to hospital in a life-threatening condition.
Investigators believe the vehicle was stolen from a Mildura address overnight on Friday.
The Calder Highway was closed for most of Saturday while detectives travelled to the scene and investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the incident.

According to Victoria Police data, 99 lives have been lost on Victorian roads since the beginning of the year, as well as 116 lives lost since this time last year.
