Marong has regained star youngster Jonty Davis for Saturday's Loddon Valley Football League grand final against Bridgewater.

The Panthers have taken the long way to the season decider at Newbridge, defeated a fortnight ago in a thrillng second semi-final by Brdgewater, before ending the run of Inglewood in the preliminary final.

They are going for a fourth successive flag. The first in the run came with a thumping win over Bridgewater three years.

But new Mean Machine coach Lachie Sharp has shaped a Bridgewater combination that has gain momentum and now won 13 games on the trot.
