THE community appeal to raise $7000 to upgrade Pyramid Hill’s town clock has been met in under a week.
Historical society member Trevor McIntosh at the weekend received more donations and on Monday ordered new parts for the 90-year-old clock.
“There’s been a really generous response from residents and former residents ... they wanted to keep the clock ticking and have been wonderful in support of the town appeal,” he said.
Trevor said the parts would take about six weeks to be manufactured in Sydney.
He expects delivery after Christmas and installation of the new mechanism to be completed early next year.
“I was hopeful of a good response and we got it,” he said.
