LODDON Plains Landcare Network, in partnership with Loddon Shire Council and Healthy Loddon Campaspe, is launching the Growing Knowledge: Farm Tour Series - a hands-on opportunity for local farmers and food producers to connect, learn and explore innovative practices.

LODDON Plains Landcare Network, in partnership with Loddon Shire Council and Healthy Loddon Campaspe, is launching the Growing Knowledge: Farm Tour Series - a hands-on opportunity for local farmers and food producers to connect, learn and explore innovative practices.
The series includes two farm tours showcasing sustainable and regenerative agriculture:
June 4 – Bear and Twigg (Greg and Jo Bear): A guided tour exploring regenerative agriculture, holistic land management and wetland conservation.
June 10 – Orana Park (Tiverton Global): A guided tour, sharing insights in olive grove management, their livestock and cropping enterprise and the biofertilizer factory.
Participants will gain practical knowledge, share ideas with peers, connect, and experience local farming operations firsthand. Both tours are free, with lunch featuring locally sourced produce provided.
Loddon Shire Mayor Dan Straub said: “this series is a great example of local collaboration in action—bringing farmers and producers together to share knowledge, spark new ideas and build more durable practices across Loddon Shire.
“It directly supports Council’s focus on innovation and sustainability, and I encourage local farmers to take part and make the most of this opportunity to learn, connect, share knowledge and grow,” he said.
Farmers and producers are encouraged to take part and support the future of sustainable agriculture in the region.
