MITIAMO came close to being forced into extra time for a second week in today's Loddon Valley netball A Grade final.

The Superoos were one goal up when the siren sounded as opponent Marong was shooting for goal, winning 50-49.

The physical match had seen Mitiamo with the edge all day.

In the previous week's second sem-final, scores with Maiden Gully had been tied on the final siren with Mitiamo going down to the Eagles by three goals in extra time.

Mitiamo and Maiden Gully will now meet in next Saturday's ground final.
