A $600,000 upgrade at Randall’s Supermarket has seen the Wedderburn business named Australia’s most improved store of the year.
Owners Leigh and Jenny Randall received the award at Australian United Retailer’s annual store excellence awards.
Leigh said it was the store’s first award since 1997 when named best country store in the Rite-way group.
The upgrade last year included installation of a new coolroom and freezer units, replacement of equipment more than 25 years old.
Award judges said the major refurbishment had been an “investment to create an elevated shopping experience for locals”
