Students plan for future at expo
YEAR 10 and Year 11 students from East Loddon P-12 College travelled to Bendigo to visit La Trobe University and see what their futures could one day hold. Students divided into two groups exploring the university in different ways from a brief race around La Trobe (which Abby T and Ruby C won) and a presentation about the university in general, plus the great programs La Trobe has to offer such as, Aspire for students keen to receive an offer ahead of ATAR results. Students then participated in an Engineering challenge, building a bridge to carry a table tennis ball for the longest length of time.

Students then participated in an Engineering challenge, building a bridge to carry a table tennis ball for the longest length of time. Winners of this competition were Jake, Alex, Oscar and Archer. After the activities, the group headed to the Uni café where they bumped into former Dux Ava Maxted who was taking a break from her studies, but loving it (which was so lovely to hear). Next stop was Tomorrow Bound Careers Expo where students travel from as far as Swan Hill, Shepparton and more to visit. Students visited a range of stalls and recognised some of the stall holders from visiting our school (eg. Haylee from Headspace and James from Agnico Eagle). Students managed to receive a whole range of stationary, hats and other souvenirs. Plus some genuine information about universities, TAFE and other job opportunities.
