Straub next mayor

TERRICK Ward councillor Dan Straub will be Loddon Shire’s next mayor.

Councillors met privately on Tuesday to select the mayor-elect who will be formally elected at the statutory meeting on November 9.

Cr Straub was elected to council 12 months ago.

Outgoing Mayor Neil Beattie congratulated Cr Straub on receiving the nod from fellow councillors.

“We’re a very tight-knit team and Dan shares a great passion and commitment for the Loddon and its communities,” he said.

“We all look forward to supporting and working with Dan as mayor.”
