LODDON Valley clubs will resist moves by Maiden Gully and Marong to leave the league.
Clubs met on Monday night to discuss the formal application lodged by Maiden Gully last week.
The league meeting followed club talks over with more than 80 Pyramid Hill club members reported to have attended a special vote last Thursday. The Bulldogs decided that Maiden Gully was still wanted as a member of the Loddon Valley league.
Similar talks were held at Newbridge with supporters raising questions about the impact less teams would have on club revenue and player cap points.
It is believed that all Loddon community-based clubs have voted against Maiden Gully’s application that was given to the league on the day league transfer bids opened, August 1.
