Still no AFL call on Rohan point review

Under AFL Victoria rules, the Geelong premiership player will cost the Mean Machine seven points of its total cap of 44 points if he plays against Newbridge.
The Maroons will field Ablett, one of the greatest to have ever played the game, for only two points in the June 20 clash at Newbridge’s Riverside Oval.
Bridgewater has asked for reconsideration of the points, arguing that it will be forced to drop several senior players to make room for Rohan under the cap. The request is to go before a regional panel for adjudication, but as yet no meeting has been scheduled, with time running out.
The club will have to prove “compelling or exceptional circumstances” to have the player points reviewed.
Ablett and Rohan are to play as part of the ‘Carlton Draft’ promotion run by Carlton & United Breweries, which over the past five years has seen former AFL stars appear for community clubs all over Australia.
Newbridge successfully applied to host one of three matches this season to feature ex-stars with a “rivalry” theme.
