Martha Haylett's lead in the Ripon vote count has been cut to 1221 after the Victorian Electoral Commission last night updated results from last Saturday's election.
Labor's Ms Haylett now has 16,503 or 51.92 per cent of the two-party vote compared with Ms Staley's 15,282 (48.08 per cent).
The latest figures, the first released since Wednesday, show votes counted are 66.87 per cent of the total enrolment as at the close of rolls.
Ms Haylett continues to poll well on early voting centre returns while postal votes are favouring Ms Staley.
The informal vote is currently 6.57 per cent.
Ripon was made notional Labour of 2.8 per cent after boundaries were redrawn.
