BOORT croquet club held its annual association singles tournament over the last weekend in a touch of summer.
The tournament had 24 players from 16 different clubs across Victoria and South Australia. 
This is the largest number of competitors over the last 19 years in our tournament. The tournament occupied three croquet courts and two courts on the nearby tennis club. All players were very taken with the location and vowed to come back next year. 
Winners were: Section 1 Simon Watkins (Brighton) and Runner up Phil DeAraugo (Bendigo). Section 2 Damien Hadfield (Kyneton) and Runner up Kerry Cullen (Colac). Section 3 Cherie Lessing (Rich River) and Runner up Fred Littman (Rich River).  Section 4 Greg Brierley (Echuca/Moama) and Janelle Morris (Belmont).
