LACHLAN De Jong sent Wedderburn Band’s tail scurrying with a dramatic bowling spell that gave momentum to Kingower on Saturday.
The breakthrough wicket of Mackenzie Smith came just as the mid-order bat was asserting some dominance and finding the boundary.
De Jong struck again next ball  when Will Holt was caught by Deason for a duck.
An over later, and De Jong had Brett and Sellick on their way back to the pavilion before Ben Rose ended Wedderburn Band’s innings in under 30 overs with two more cheap wickets.
Strong top order performances from Rowe and Pickles had Kingower powering to victory despite Will Holt and Isaac Holt combining for the early wicket of opener Deason.
A quartet of wickets by Boort Yando’s Nick Scott was not enough to contain Arnold from hitting a match-winning 143 for the loss of just six wickets in 35 overs.
Scott’s first scalp  came with Redbacks’ opener Phil Scoles dismissed lbw for nine and followed soon after by Michael Dale. 
Opener McCullough continued to build a handy score before he was dismissed by Slatter and then Cam Dale and Ryan Metelmann took control of the Redbacks’ innings, lifting the score in quick time.
Metelmann was the final wicket to fall when Boort skipper Smith took a catch off Will Gould’s bowling.
Boort was in early trouble when Metlamann had opener Smith and Gould dismissed cheaply and soon followed by Cockerell.
Fergus Bear, Slatter and Malone gave Boort Yando hopes of surpassing the target but apart from some resistance put up by Zanker, the Boort tail wilted and the team was bowled out nine runs short of victory in 31 overs.
Metlemann was the best of Arnold’s bowlers, taking four, including the key wickets of Slatter and Malone.
