Speedy quartet energised to tackle breakthrough circuit
ST MARY’S Primary School Inglewood students are training twice a week for next month’s Energy Breakthrough in Maryborough.

Their recycled human-powered vehicle is reaching speeds of up to 30kmh after air vent modifications.
Among the team are Year 6 students Braxton Burns, Lucy Morrison, Jordy Pickering and Kiarah McEwan will tackle the Maryborough circuit for three days with races starting from 6am.
“Our training is at the go-kart track in Bendigo on Mondays and again at school on Wednesday. We’re also doing exercises like pilates, pushups and star jumps to prepare for the races,” said Lucy.
Jordy will be part of the school’s Energy Breakthrough team for a second year while his three co-drivers will hit the circuit for the first time.
Lucy said the team was raising funds to cover costs of maintaining the vehicle and participation in the Energy Breakthrough.
