Potentia Energy had flagged lodging plans with the Department of Transport and Planning when it unveiled plans at community information sessions in Mitiamo and Pyramid Hill last month.

But the company updated its timelines in a newsletter released on Monday.

Further “capped” small group meetings will be held in Pyramid Hill next week.

The Mologa site, partially bounded by Bendigo-Pyramid Road Mologa-Durham Ox Road and Mitiamo-Kerang Road - would include a battery energy storage system and sub-station that will conect to the Bendigo-Kerang Transmission line recommended for a doubling of capacity under VicGrid’s renewable energy plans.

“Potentia Energy is committed to building strong relationships in the communities it operates in,” the company said this week.

“We do this by engaging early in the planning process and providing accurate, up-to-date information as plans progress.

“Potentia Energy aims to keep the community informed at each stage of the proposal through a series of engagement and communication activities.

“We understand the importance of clear and timely responses, and we’re committed to providing the most up to date information available.

“However, as we are in the early stages of the proposal and currently undertaking technical assessments, there may be occasions where the information requested may relate to studies or processes that are still in progress or yet to be implemented,” Potentia said.

The Mologa proposal is eligible accelerated assessment pathway approvals under State Government policy.
