GRAND final skippers Cam Dale and Jarrod Hodoras have singled out their club’s junior program for praise at the end of the Upper Loddon season.
Arnold and Boort played off in both the senior and junior finals.
Hodoras said there was a buzz around the club with the development of younger players including Fergus Bear and Alex Cockerell.
“The junior program is going well,” he said.
And while Boort didn’t win a flag, Hodoras said the focus was on the club’s great results in the season’s second half.
Dale said Arnold had gained momentum during the finals series.
“We backed ourselves with ball and bat,” Dale said.
He said the senior-junior flag double showed the strength of the club.
“That strength is there off-field too with improvements to facilities throughout the year. We’re having a go,”
