Co-organiser of the 4th annual show, Terry Wood, said $9000 in awards had seen a record 380 entries for the show this year.

“Those entries are coming not just from across Victoria but now also from New South Wales,” he said.

“The feedback from almost 700 people who visited the week-long show has been amazing. They are the ones saying our show is in the top tier of events in regional Victoria.”

Mr Wood said the prize pool had been boosted this year through Peter Speck whose solar installation company Sunflex has been part of projects at Pyramid Salt. “Peter’s wonderful support has been part of taking our show to the next level.”

Mr Wood, who has put together the show with Anne Grogan under the progress association banner, said success of Loddon artists had also been a highlight this year.

“I was delighted when Sarah Wallace-Smith, of Jarklin, was awarded best in show for a second time. Sarah was one of the local artists I spoke to about the show idea five years ago and she has been supportive ever since,” he said.

“The show continues to grow and has now become a major arts event in Loddon.”

Voting for the people’s choice award saw Cheltenham’s Dina Matei gain the nod with her painting Morning in the Sink.
