THE Fat Butcher in Inglewood’s Brooke Street has a legion of loyal customers and fans who travel from far and wide for a prime cut of aged beef.
The butcher is a try paddock-to-plate success story in the Loddon Shire with the Hancocks sourcing cuts straight from animals on their family farm at Murphys Creek that is now home to a seventh generation.
There’s 100 per cent grain-fed vegetarian Murphys Creek pork and grass/grain-fed Merino lamb and Inglewood dry aged beef.
Deb Hancock and staff prepare packs to suit all tastes and needs, from a barbecue for two to having a full grill when the friends drop in over the Christmas-New Year period.
And there is a vast array of produce from across the region, including acclaimed local wines to complement the offering coming from the barbecue.
