Scrap the Tax rally Melbourne attended by hundreds of Loddon farmers and firies

HUNDREDS of Loddon farmers and volunteer firefights have protested in Melbourne against the State Government's new emergency services tax.

They were up before dawn to hit the steps of Parliament House on Tuesday.

Estimates of up to 10,000 people rallied against the tax, fire trucks blocked city streets and the Coalition said it would dump the tax that will be a new 150 per cent hit on farmers if it wins the 2026 election.
