WEDDERBURN College was among 96 schools to receive an Active Schools grant this year, said member for Western Victoria Region Jaala Pulford.
The $47,958 grant will see the college plan and implement a whole-school approach to improving student physical activity.
Ms Pulford said $4058 would be used to help boost physical education and sports activities, providing support with the costs of physical education, sport and outdoor education.
And she said $13,900 would support the college with the costs of providing extracurricular physical activity opportunities.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate Active Schools funding recipients – I want to congratulate all the successful schools, including Wedderburn College, for their work to keep young Victorians active, fit and healthy,” said Ms Pulford.
