Santa’s presents arrive at new-look post office
INGLEWOOD Post Office has received an early Christmas present ... just in time for the busiest time of the year.
Postal agency owner Kylie Carter has extended the gift and product display area and had a new counter installed, creating more space for customers at the busy post office.
“The work was all done in a weekend and now we’re able to display our stock much better,” she said.
“The post office is a wonderful heritage building. It has been evolving for more than a century to serve the community. We’ve been able to adapt the customer and service areas into a more contemporary shopping environment while continuing to assist customers with their mail, parcel and other services a 21st century post office offers.”
And the creation of more space is also helping Santa this Christmas. His mail box has its own spot and is also being filled with letters from local children with their special requests for presents to be delivered on Christmas Eve.
