TARNAGULLA’S Ambrose Pairs event saw Peter Sanderson and Dave Shay emerge as winners on a day when it seemed that more balls disappeared into the scrub than hit the fairways.
TARNAGULLA’S Ambrose Pairs event saw Peter Sanderson and Dave Shay emerge as winners on a day when it seemed that more balls disappeared into the scrub than hit the fairways.
They finished ahead of father and son duo Jason and Jeremy Cassar.
The younger Cassar took out the longest drive award for the day, with a booming 274-metre shot that hit the middle of the fairway and managed to avoid the resident mob of kangaroos.
Nearest the pin went to Warwick Stagg.
The next event at the club is a double – an 18-hole Members’ Championship alongside a nine-hole fun social event that is open to all.
Play starts at 9am on Saturday, August 8.
