Ruck star cops a reprimand
MACORNA ruckman Matt Colak has been a revelation in his first Loddon Valley eason, emerging as the best big man in the competition.

MACORNA ruckman Matt Colak has been a revelation in his first Loddon Valley eason, emerging as the best big man in the competition.
But any chance of him winning the Frank Harding Medal for the league best and fairest will rest with the Loddon Valley board.
Colak was charged with engaging in rough conduct against Inglewood back in round four.
He entered an early guilty plea and was given a reprimand.
While he didn’t miss a match, the early guilty plea technically makes him ineligible for the medal. League administrator Laura Naughton confirmed that the LVFNL board had the discretion to allow a player to remain eligible for the medal despite a reprimand from the Match Review Panel.
If Colak’s form continues, the board may face a tricky call.
Colak’s impressive season is highlighted by the Elvee Award votes, which are based on club best player nominations on a 3-2-1 basis week by week.
After round 10 Colak was third with 16 votes, three behind leader Liam Marciano from Inglewood.
